Competition & Confidentiality

A trusted forum with clear boundaries.

Mobile AI Council brings together executives from businesses that may compete. Useful peer learning therefore requires more than confidentiality. It requires clear limits on information that should and should not be exchanged.

Appropriate subjects

Participants may discuss publicly available operator cases, published research, authorised historical lessons, generic workflows, organisational challenges, responsible-AI principles, non-confidential implementation methods, general capability questions and appropriately aggregated or anonymised information.

Information that must stay out

Do not disclose, request or discuss non-public information concerning:

  • Current or future retail prices or discount strategies.
  • Confidential wholesale rates or host-MNO negotiating positions.
  • Customer, territory or market allocation.
  • Current or future bids or tender strategy.
  • Intended subscriber volumes or acquisition targets.
  • Future launches, campaigns or commercial strategy.
  • Confidential sales, revenue or demand forecasts.
  • Planned responses to named competitors.
  • Confidential supplier negotiations.
  • Information you are not authorised to disclose.

If a problem arises

  • 01Stop the discussion.
  • 02Do not contribute further information.
  • 03Ask the chair to record that the discussion was stopped.
  • 04Where appropriate, seek advice from your own organisation or the Council's designated competition adviser.
