About the Council
Why Mobile AI Council exists.
AI is becoming part of mobile businesses faster than reliable evidence about its commercial value is becoming available.
Operators do not need another source of generic AI enthusiasm.
They need better answers to management questions.
The questions behind the technology
- Which AI opportunities genuinely deserve investment?
- Which are promising demonstrations rather than material business opportunities?
- What has another operator actually implemented?
- What changed in the workflow?
- What organisational effort was required?
- What evidence should management require before scaling?
- And how can operators learn from one another without exchanging information that should remain confidential?
Mobile AI Council exists to make those conversations more useful.
Not another AI conference. Not a vendor community. Not a consultancy programme.
Mobile AI Council is an operator-first executive council.
Its job is to create trusted, recurring executive engagement around the commercial adoption, economics and execution of AI in mobile businesses.
It complements conferences, trade associations, vendors and consultancies rather than trying to replace them.
Our territory: practical business adoption
The Council focuses on:
- Customer growth and acquisition.
- Retention and customer value.
- Margin and revenue assurance.
- Customer and operating productivity.
- Workflows and operating models.
- Business cases and prioritisation.
- Data, governance and responsible implementation.
- Value realisation.
We do not seek to become a technical standards body or duplicate established industry work on AI-enabled network architecture and infrastructure.
Europe & MENA first. Global evidence where it matters.
Europe and the Middle East & North Africa are the Council's initial operating focus.
Those regions will shape the founding member network and inaugural programme.
Relevant operator evidence may come from any geography where it helps members make better decisions.
Built deliberately
Mobile AI Council is currently a founding-stage industry initiative.
It is not presented as a member-owned trade association, certification authority or independently incorporated not-for-profit unless and until those structures actually exist.
The intention is to demonstrate genuine operator value first, then allow evidence to determine the appropriate longer-term structure.
The Formalus relationship
Mobile AI Council was founded by Michael Williamson, who also founded Formalus, an AI transformation advisory business.
During the founding phase, Formalus provides selected operational support.
The two have different purposes.
Mobile AI Council
Mobile AI Council provides executive exchange, research, evidence and practical programmes.
Formalus
Formalus provides separately arranged company-specific advisory and transformation services.
- Council membership is never conditional on using Formalus.
- Membership information does not automatically become a Formalus prospecting database.
- A separate Formalus conversation occurs only when an individual expressly requests one or independently approaches Formalus.
